FAQ — The Anja Reserve Lodge & Restaurant at Anja, Madagascar

 All our suites include: air conditioning, 24/7 hot water, high-speed Wi-Fi via Starlink, coffee machine, tablet, premium bedding and a private bathroom. Our autonomous energy system guarantees continuous service, even in the event of a regional power outage.

 Yes. We offer high-speed Wi-Fi via Starlink in all suites and common areas, ensuring a stable connection even in the heart of nature. Mobile coverage (Telma, Orange, Airtel) may vary depending on the area. Our autonomous energy system ensures continuous Internet service.  

   Maximum 15 guests at a time (5 suites × 3 guests). Perfect for small groups, extended families or private excursions with guides and naturalists.

   Yes, reversible air conditioning (cooling and heating) in all suites. It operates 24/7 and can be adjusted according to your preferences. 

Our signature suites are offered at 660,000 Ar per night (approx. €135), for 2 guests. Extra bed: 120,000 Ar. Breakfast extra: 50,000 Ar/person. Rates include access to all premium amenities and free parking at the lodge.

 We accept Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards, bank transfer (ideal for tour operators, available on request for individuals) and cash in Ariary (MGA). Invoice available on request. ⚠️ Cheques are not accepted. 

  Yes, open 365 days a year. High season: May–October (early booking recommended 2–3 months in advance). Low season: January–March (wide availability, reduced rates possible). Exceptional closure only in case of major cyclones.  

Yes. The Anja Reserve Lodge features a unique restaurant combining a solidarity and premium concept, open from 6am to 9pm non-stop. We offer refined European cuisine showcasing local products, as well as a coffee shop serving cappuccino, flat white, latte macchiato, espresso and americano.

Breakfast: 50,000 Ar/person (on reservation). À la carte dinner: 90,000 Ar/person (Mandatory Menu). Full menu (starter + main + dessert): 75,000 Ar/person. 2-course menu (starter + main OR main + dessert): 70,000 Ar/person. Vegetarian dishes and special dietary requirements are available.  

Breakfast is not included in the Suite rate. It is available as an add-on at 50,000 Ar/person. Served in the restaurant or as room service on request, it combines fresh local products and pastries.  

 Breakfast is served in the restaurant (room service available). We also welcome external guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are available, and special dietary requirements are accommodated (garlic-free, allergies, etc.).

 The lodge is located directly at the entrance of the Anja Community Reserve — just 200m from the starting point of guided tours. It is the closest accommodation to the reserve, ideal for enjoying the best lemur-watching moments, early in the morning or at the end of the day.

  We are at the entrance of the Anja Reserve, on the RN7 (Ambalavao). Search for "The Anja Reserve Lodge & Restaurant" on Google Maps. Accessible from Antananarivo (≈ 10-12h drive) or Fianarantsoa (≈ 1h30). Travel times vary depending on road conditions — allow extra time for safety. 

  Yes. We coordinate the visit of the Anja Community Reserve with the village community that directly manages the reserve and the certified village guides, and are planning for 2027 nature days (Electric-assist bike circuit, hiking to Anora, discovery of Betsileo villages and much more). All logistics are taken care of — you just have to enjoy. We will set up a dedicated page for activities as soon as it is operational.

1. Car/4x4: 10h-13h via RN7 (road)
2. Bush taxi: Tana → Ambalavao (Taxi-brousse station fasany karana)
3. Flight + transfer: Tana-Fianarantsoa flight (45 min) + car 1h30min

Check-in: 2:00 PM / Check-out: 11:00 AM. An early check-in or late check-out is possible subject to availability — don't hesitate to let us know. Free luggage storage is available if you arrive earlier or leave later, so you can make the most of your day.

 Yes, The Anja Reserve Lodge has a completely free private parking for all our guests. A secure space suitable for tourist vehicles, 4x4s and tour operator minibuses. Perfect for travelers on a road trip along the legendary RN7 of Madagascar.

  Yes. Our suites can accommodate up to 3 people (extra bed 120,000 Ar). The restaurant offers child-friendly dishes, and the Anja Reserve is an ideal nature experience for families — easy trails, nearby lemur watching, educational guides. A safe and welcoming environment.
